Thanks Simon - i've just done reply in the past and tried to remember to 
post in the alug address from my contacts list. I forgot on this 
occasion! I'll be dropping gmail - as i learnt with my yahoogroups it 
does some other things differently. Very unreliable with attached photos 
i've found. In fact the only thing i like in gmail is the calendar.
