[ALUG] Blue tooth

Hi
Has anyone successfully used a usb bluetooth dongle with Ubuntu 7.10.
I can get it to pair with my mobile phone on the laptop, but when i try 
to send a photo from phone to laptop, the phone does not detect the 
laptop.Made both phone and laptop visible but still no connection.
I must be doing something wrong but what?
Not to clued up with blue tooth!
All suggestions gratefully received.
