Following on from the hint I gave last night, have a look at:

Which is one of the first hits out of google for vista udf mount linux.

Lots more useful looking stuff available too with those search terms,
I'd suggest that and similar for working out what is going on.

Note that the actual method of getting at the data looks a bit hackish
and mentions that the guide will most likely not work except on the
specific release of ubuntu they are talking about.
