Hello All I've decided it's about time to use Linux to connect to the net rather than Windoze, but as always there's a problem. Instead of a nice pukka proper modem I've got a PCI winmodem which I understand won't work with Linux. I can't afford a new branded modem at the moment (I thought about a US Robotics 56k external) but I know where I pick up an internal ISA one very cheaply. Has I understand it I should be able to use this with 'generic' settings.
