Me and Charles Garcia-Tobin (also on this list) were wasting a Sunday afternoon mucking about with Gnome Meeting last weekend. It is mostly working quite well as far as Audio and Text go, but we now need to both get affordable USB webcams to complete the picture.
Any other ALUG'ers out there running USB webcams on Linux ?, which ones have good compatability, we are not over concerned with performance (this is for Gnome Meeting after all) but something that is nice and easy to get working and currently available would be good.
I did have a really nice 3Com Office Connect camera. But when I tried it a year ago it was no fun getting it to play with Linux (and anyway it seems to have gone missing now)
