The short answer is yes, this is/was a problem with DNS yesterday but hopefully things will be settling down now. This brings me onto the next thing which is quite important.
I will no longer have the facilities to host Alug's web site or mailing lists after the 31st July, and therefore would like to ask anybody who has a UNIX server going spare if they could take over the hosting. Alug's web site and mailing list traffic doesn't cosume much bandwith (I barely go over 200Mb per month even with my own personal sites) and everything can be shifted over via various tarballs. Mailman is incredibly easy to install and integrate into any Exim or Sendmail system.
If anybody would like to take over, please drop me a mail off-list and we can start sorting out what's going to happen.
