there will always be those who frown on switching to liunx, there is no point in worrying about it, just relax in the knowledge that you are now in heaven ;).. if others wish to stress themselves out over a doze box, that's their choice ;)..
I wouldn't worry about the press bad mouthing it either, Linux is not only a OS it is a statement/way of life and is too deep rooted in the techies for harsh words to make any significant impact.. most I know just ignore it.... Eventlally the techies will force linux up the chain of command until the MD of companies will see the light...then it is game over....
