I tried using the midi player that come with KDE, I think its called kmid, imaginative name eh? :-)
I think it's actual midi device support that isn't implemented. The device driver readme says that midi is supported but no .mid or .rmi file will play and I don't have a midi keyboard around at the moment to try the port out. Come to think of it I don't think the joystick works either. I might need to compile support for the midi/joystick port in the kernel? This shouldn't stop me playing a .mid though should it?
Funny how much you learn about stuff when it don't work init! Can't RTFM because I don't know which effing m to read! :-)
