By the way, you really should get Doom running on it, saw it a Linux Expo, really impressive.

I got mine at the same time as Jamie (we sort of talked each other into it, sorry Jamie)
I love mine to bits, Qtopia is very nice, the fact that it gets an IP address when sitting in the USB cradle is cool, some of the things I have had it doing are simply not possible on other PDA platforms like snorting people's wireless lan's during security audits, nmap'ing (for the same reason) Running a MySQL database I was testing etc....Having Opera as a web browser is also good (if only because it can also view PDF's) It's also quite stable, I had Qtopia die on me once but apart from that no crashes. Most Pocket PC users I know end up soft resetting every few days and even have to resort to the occasional hard reset (leaving them in the field with no data)
If I had to be critical then I'd say that some of the PIM apps feel a little underdeveloped, as does the desktop sync software and the battery life is not so good (especially if you've got a wireless lan card plugged in) I was also a little disappointed that the bundled CD and manuals gave no hints on how to get the thing syncing with Linux, they didn't even mention that it's a possibility !
But overall, I have previously used Palm's since the very first one (but vowed to never buy another one after some rough treatment by Palm Computing during a warranty claim) and I have just finished deploying 40 or so Pocket PC PDA's for a customer, I prefer my Zaurus to either of those platforms.
I haven't tried Openzaurus yet, let us know what you think of it Adam
