Where does Firefox (or Mozilla for that matter) keep its cache?
In Netscape it was easy -- a whole slew of directories under ~/.netscape/cache/
But I can;t find abything with "ache" in its name that has anything to do with Firefox!
Find anything called "cache": du -a | grep -i cache
On my machine all the firefox bits are stored in .mozilla/firefox/ and then all the bits are in a directory with a 8 character "random" name ending in .default (this is designed afaik to try and block attacks against the browser trying to grab stuff off your system, like favourites, read cookies and your cache etc.).
Indeed, my cache lives at: ~/.mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default/Cache
