Try using the Firefox extension User Agent Switcher which can be configured to make badly written sites like Asda think that they're being addressed by any combination of Windows or Internet Explorer or any other OS or browser.

It would appear they've done something on the website so linux users have problems. Does anyone else shop online with Asda by any chance... any problems? Any suggestions from a geek what could be wrong or what i could suggest in my next letter?
Begging them to fix it is probably futile. Try to get it working by messing with the user-agent in about:config (try appending MSIE codes?) and then write to them if you want.
If I were you, I'd switch to Waitrose.com (support the workers! and they price-match Tesco on lots of lines at the moment too) and flame ASDA on some websites. Consumer judo is the only thing large plcs should respect. http://mjr.towers.org.uk/blog/2006/boycotts
Good luck!
