Then with the crossover cable in place, I get: eth0: Setting full-duplex based on MII #1 link partner capability of 45e1. and when I disconnect the cable I get: eth0: Setting half-duplex based on MII #1 link partner capability of 0000. with no further messages when a connection (half duplex) through the hub is set up.
