Do many people actually turn up to these? I would imagine more may if locals knew about it. Not a criticism, but something that could be worked on.
I hope definitely to move towards that once it is better established. We've only just started them - this will be the third meeting. Also, at present at least, they have an informal chat format with the idea that local linux users can simply get to know each other so are probably not yet the best means of introducing people to linux (see other thread :-)
However that is something that I would also like to develop in time.
I've not been able to book a venue for it so I suggest that we meet in the Forum again (which a lot of people liked anyway). Plus it's free if not many people turn up to share the costs of a hall :-)
Stupid question I know, but I've been off the list for weeks -- I take it you mean the Forum that is the great glass dome next to City hall and not some other forum I wouldn't like to guess at heh.
Not a silly question at all - I should have been more specific in the announcement. Yes, the Forum in central Norwich - there is a vey cheap carpark underneath it (1GBP for the evening). From the roundabout on the ring-road, turn into the city towards St Giles St then immediately fork right and the car park is on the right. All dirctions are on the alug web site AFAIK.
We meet in the coffee bar and should be there until at least 10pm so must come along whenever you've finished eating - hope to meet you there.
