Hi Jude
Thanks for getting back to me!
$ cd /lib/modules/3.4.2-2-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi/ $ ls -al total 160 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jun 12 08:34 . drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 Jun 12 08:34 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 153149 Jun 12 08:33 iwlwifi.ko.gz
So, my Kernel is 3.2.0.23-generic and my iwlwifi.ko (no gz!!) is from April 11. So it would certainly appear older than yours.
I can't help much with the 3G card, I don't have one.
No worries.
What is the date on your module file? Is it old? Because I used to have this problem, but since December it's gone away for me. But as Arch is a rolling release distro I have had many kernel updates since I originally had the issue.
I'll download Arch and see if it works for me.
Sometimes truth be told all wireless data transmission stops, and the only way I can fix it is to reboot my router, but this is now rare and it only seems to happen at home.
That's interesting!
Do you have any kernel errors when trying to connect?
How do i find out?
