[ALUG] re lp printing and permissions

Yes, what I seem to have is: $ ls -l /dev/usb/lp0 crw-rw---- 1 root lp 180, 0 2009-12-12 01:59 /dev/usb/lp0 So, is this maybe the consequence of having set up the raw printer as root? But it had to be done as root apparently. Peter
