Bev Nicolson asked:
I have a fairly basic Alcatel OT S319 phone. There is no hope of expanding the memory so I would like to find some software to help me transfer the text to my PC. What should I look for? [...]
http://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_ot_s319-2279.php suggests it has miniUSB and Java MIDP 2.0. So, I think first thing to try is sticking a USB cable into it and seeing if it mounts as a usb-storage disk and you can copy anything easily writeable off of it. If not, does MMS let you send things off to an email address? I think that'll cost, sadly. If not, you could try pasting text into an email client like http://mujmail.org/ (which I mentioned at http://www.news.software.coop/top-8-j2me-midp-applications/554/ ) or an SSH client like MidpSSH http://www.xk72.com/midpssh/ but both will incur mobile data charges because that phone has no WLAN.
