Here I am (right now), using scp to upload a small (1KB) index.php file to a webserver in the States run by VA (see below). I watch the initial upload, then all goes quiet indefinetly. I've tried many times without success. I've had it suggested that the server may be doing a reverse dns lookup on my, yet nslookup <myip> works fine.
Any ideas, only watching a 1KB upload for more than five/ten minutes gets boring...

Try ssh/scp with the -v (verbose) option to see what it's really doing?
