OK. I've got Xine 0.9.1 up and running, but it's now up to release 0.9.4, and DVD nav just doesn't work at all in 0.9.1, in fact it's done something weird with the UI. (has anyone had any luck with dvdnav?)
If I try and $rpm -e xine-lib-0.9.1*.rpm then it says that it isn't installed If I $rpm -Uvh xine-lib-0.9.1*.rpm then it says it's already installed! grrrrr....
My only worry is that I was never able to get 0.9.2 to work, or 0.9.4., so if I install the new rpm's with the -ivh flag, I might not be able to uninstall it and revert to a working, if flawed installation.
Anyone know why rpm thinks packages that *are* installed aren't? or any way that I could preserve and older installation? would the --force option do the same, if I used the older rpms?
