<DELURK> Can't you just use a cross compiler (I know you can cross compile for MIPs on Intel)? Take a look at the internet user groups for compiling for say the Compaq IPAQ (SH3 based I believe)... I believe if you install the correct libraries, you can compile for most platforms on intel!

The only three PPC distros that I'm aware of are LinuxPPC, Yellow Dog and SuSE, although I'm sure there must be others. I guess Yellow Dog *might* be the leanest of them, but they're all trying to be fully-featured distros!
