I'm sorry to be a pest, but I am completely in the dark as to what actually happens at an ALUG meeting - from what i can gather we all turn up with as many bits as possible and join them together and get them working/networked/whatever whilst drinking copious amounts of hot liquids. Or cold, if there is a pub at the end of the road.
That seems fairly accurate so far! :-)
Heh. I do feel that they need rather more structure.
Well, they've usually just been fixing and networking, but sometimes there have been particular demonstrations or topics to the meeting. I think it's agreed that we'd like another side to the meeting with presentations etc, but people have been fairly slow in coming forward. There were a few (good, as I recall) ideas, so is anyone wanting to commit to talking at Syleham?
Um. When's Syleham? My brother is trying to drag me to shefield at some point. I'm more than happy to talk on Cocoon or whatever, but I guess that's not. If there's anything that you can think of that I know, but I've forgotten I know, and that would be helpful, then give me a yell.
Paul, thinking an Alug-delurk might be in order.
