[Alug] Beep! How do I stop this?

Currently I'm using Black Box or WindowMaker as window managers. (mainly windowmaker). HOWEVER, they both make an annoying beep (via the motherboard- a system beep like when you boot up, rather than thru the soundcard) every hour on the hour. Very annoying when you're playing a DVD! I can't seem to find a setting in either manager to stop this, nor can I find any reference in their respective docs. It doesn't do it in Gnome or <shudder> KDE. Haven't tried Xfce (yet).
