I've bought a few Zoostorm laptops from eBuyer. They brand them as eBuyer Special Value or similar. They are manufactured by Clevo and are normally pretty well built. I used one for about 3 years after my trusty Dell M60 workstation died. It had a lot to live up to but performed very well with Ubuntu then Mint on it. My daughter has one which gets severe abuse and is still works okay, although I have put at least 3 new screens in it for her!

Does anyone know whether it is still possible to reclaim the cost of the Windows licence that comes pre-installed? Do I claim this back from Microsoft or the manufacturer?
I recall a successful court case a while back where the buyer successfully sued the retail supplier. But good luck with that.
