To compile an allegro program do this:
gcc -c mytest.c -o mytest.o gcc -o mytest mytest.o `allegro-config --libs`
Remember there backticks(things below esc on this keyborad). :) Also for stuff like this check out www.allegro.cc ... its forums are very helpfull. Or try to RTFM!!!!!!!!!!!

I successfully installed Allegro in Windows and got it working just fine. The only problem is trying to install it for linux. Im getting problems when trying to compile the programs. Its like it cant find the libraries needed. A good tutorial might help me out...
