Having for a week banged my head against a brick wall over BT's insistence that I change from present 0800 number to a 0808 number which does not now nor has at any time since I joined, worked, today I finally got the end of my tether and made a complaint to Oftel. Four hours later I am still getting apologies from BT, arrangements are being made to ensure that I can connect and, most significantly, they have admitted that lots of other users are having the same problem connecting to 0808 numbers.
I would advise anyone who is having the same problems to point out that it has been admitted that some users CAN NOT CONNECT TO THE 0808 NUMBERS, and then complain to Oftel!
