I have conducted a limited test of Scalix.
I was limited to a Fedora Core box due to the lack of .deb packages.
Set-up was a breeze. Although it did require X-Windows to install and perform initial configuration. Additional set-up such as adding users is possible through a web administration interface known as SAC. Note that only common tasks can be done here - there are a large number of CLI tools for everything. They are sadly named with acronyms so tabbing to get the right program is a pain.
I have not yet tried the Outlook client. I have instead monitored the forums and certainly none of the major points of the platform have caused issues. Mostly people with unintended firewalls in the way.
New version is out November. Am interested to here any other experiences.
