Hello Everybody,

Does anyone out there know anything about the hardware suitable and if there
is any open source software available for bluecasting that will run on a
linux server?

I have checked around and I can only find companies that offer a complete
service for Windows.

Thanks,

If 'bluecasting'  means sending files to devices that come in proximity automatically, with matching of names, this is something you can do with bluez and scripts in any language you like.

If you wanted GUI tools you could use the KDE bluetooth applet to set up actions for individual devices as they appear (or at least you could when I had a raft of Sony Ericsson phones), but I'm guessing that isn't necessary from the use of the word "server".

If you mean something other than that, you might have to be more specific.
