Hi guys..
A Q re linking filesystems.
you might want to check out smbmount, which allows you to mount samba/windows shares on a unix box...

Want to join & make filesystems transparent between 3 Windows98 boxes, a Linux server and a Linux workstation.
Now I've used Samba & found it great - for servers. Clients can see the server f/s - but the server itself can't see the shares on the Windows boxes (not quite right - Samba has some command line utilities giving views onto the client).
I want all the box GUIs to be able to see all the shares -so, how to get Linboxen GUIs to see the MS shares?
Also, in such an environment how to connect the two Linux boxes? NFS? This is something I have not as yet done. This OK running alongside Samba?
The Linux I'll be using will be either Mandrake 7.2, Corporate or 8.1 (still not 100% convinced about the new kernel).

In Mandrake 8.0 you can use gnomba, the Gnome samba browser. Don't know about 7.2 though.
