Linux only sees 64Mb of 384Mb. IIRC there is some command you can enter at the lilo prompt to correct this. Could someone please enlighten me.
In your lilo.conf stick
append = "mem=384m"
Are you sure about the syntax because it seems to have no effect.
I tried append=mem=384m and append=mem=384M no go thoough.
Did you rerun lilo?
I literally have append = "mem=128m hdc=ide-scsi" in my lilo.conf
Yeah, /sbin/lilo -v but still no joy. Same distro (Mandrake 7.0) finds 128M on my laptop no problem and Windows 98 finds it (still spends half its time paging to disk though).
Strange problem, loads of other goodies to play with at the moment though. I'm trying to get Linux to talk to my Diamond Rio 500 USB MP3 player and I think they've had a bit of a tiff coz communication at the moment is a no-no. :-)
Off to my pit now otherwise I'll never get the kids up for school in the morning.
