I am a new user to Linux, and I have recently installed Mandrake 7.1. It has been having problems detecting my modem. I would like to know if there is a patch or utility which can be used to overcome this problem? as I feel blind without the use of a modem, or what type of modem would be best to use with a Linux OS, help! I live in the Waterbeach/Cambridge area.
