apt-get is kinda cute. That and the way I found out pppd was working was when my box tried to complete the install over the 'phone line!

Read the instructions??? Well, there's a first time for everything! I'm looking for something equivalent to "rpm -y packagename" I see there's a command debsums_gen than makes MD5sums for packages that don't have them, but how do you verify the installed files against these? Something like: cd /;for pack in /var/lib/dpkg/info/*.md5sums; do md5sum $pack; done But easier to type in a hurry :-)
