APC batteries look easy to replace, but I couldn't comment on their availability. I recently replaced the batteries in my APC UPS and bought them from Riello in Wrexham (http://www.riello-ups.co.uk)
The APC parts would have cost £78 + VAT, but Riello supplied them for £30 including VAT and postage.
