Hi, Ive just got a new computer with win 2000 installed. Its also got alot of specialist software and device drivers(not avalible for linux) so im keeping it(i also like it its the only version of windows i can say that about).
So my problem is that i dont want to re-install windows 2000 on a smaller partition unless i have REALY have to. If there were a version of fips or somthing similare then id maybe resize it so i could fit a smallish "/boot" partision. The boot partition needs to be in the first 8 Gig if i remember correctly or is that just older computers/drives? I do have a spare hd lying around not doing much but i seem to remember theres a problem getting linux to boot fromt he second ide controller, am i wrong?
Also is there anyproblems booting win2000 with lilo? Same as win98 right?
Thanx girls/guys =)
