Hello All! (Sorry; it is stupid question time again:) Does anyone know how I can force the kernel to read the hardware net address on my pc card? I'm using RH6.2. with kernel 2.2.14. on a laptop (someone has suggested upgrading to 2.4 and that may help, but a bit beyond me at present, would prefer an easier solution). Many thanks for everyone's help with Samba last week, BTW......still not running but I'm starting to know where I'm coming from now, and will spend some time poking before posting further. Very grateful. Jenny.
