[Alug] redirecting into a command...

Helppp.. Hi Guys, I'm trying to update a router config from a file remotely using rsh.. I know I get a connection as rsh -l<login-name> <router-ip> sh ver works.. But I want to update a few lines for the config, can someone give me a few pointers on how to either redirect or parse or whatever I need to do to get the data out of the file and into the router using rsh (preferably).
