OK, I just made enquires with my collegues upstairs (I work for the uni computing service so I had to be careful what I d/l) and it seems that unofficial policy on downloading large files from anywhere is 'bugger the cost'. Therefore, RH6.0 iso is currently standing at some 37Mb so far in just under ten minutes.
Ok - I've already got it and burnt it! Seems I can't boot from it, but it should be okay if you boot from floppy. I'll try another one in a while...
If you want me to put the iso on a fast janet link, shout.
OK I'm shouting. The d/l just hit 70Mbs and stopped, dead. Mozzilazine.org also appears to be dead.
With a bit of luck I can get this HP DirectCD to create a working CD, and Debian and Caldera offerings will conclude the Great Download of April.
Debian eta 45 minutes...
Good. How about Caldera? I really need a Linux machine to do this stuff on...
Goddamit I need this network speed at home :-)
