Thank you both, I was wondering why idle dropped to 0.0% when I did my backup to a USB2 drive (at the same time wa goes to to a high percentage) I thought something may be wrong as the 0.0% idle made me think that the machine was 100% busy. Now it makes sense though....
Also when I burn DVD's my hi goes up to a high percentage (may be better now I have forced DMA on my DVD burner, I'll have to check)
