Having upgraded my Debian system to 'Testing' I am trying to move to kernel 2.4.18 but before I do that I need to get an iptables firewall set up.
With my original 2.2.20 kernel I had used PMFirewall to set up my firewall. Answer a few simple questions and Bingo - one firewall and a perfectly servicable one too.
I am trying to use Endoshield in the same way but have recompiled my kernel with the relevant bits included I get the following when depmod is run:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ipt_REJECT.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/iptable_filter.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/iptable_mangle.o depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/iptable_nat.o
I have never had unresolved symbols after compiling a kernel until now. Apart from that the kernel seems to work perfectly well.

Please, try to insmod -v (verbose) the modules and we'll see if we can help more. Or answer my other email.
