Hi , I've recently installed Linux on my computer, and when I tried to configure my connnection using kppp to get to my ISP, I failed because my PCI modem was not configured. I would appreciate if anyone could give advice on setting a dial up connection.
Cheers lads.

Bad news I am afraid, if its a pci modem then it is almost certainly a winmodem which will most likely work in windows only, although some of them are supported in Linux, what Linux distro are you using? and which version? and do you know the exact make and model of your modem? you can try running the command lspci to get us some more information too.
let us know anyhow, and we will try and help. Adam
