Details are thin on the ground. Allegedly, there is data corruption involved, but there is no reference about that on the debian lists that I have spotted. If anyone feels like doing a test...

Anyone on the list know exactly what the problem with it is? LWN is not a source prone to spreading FUD.

LWN have just done exactly that by posting rumours without reference or an apparent reason for withholding such a reference. Extremely bad journalism.
