Don't worry. You've just not got your eth0 driver around just yet. Getting warmer, though.
Using ifconfig to try and bring up eth0 shows eth0: unknown interface: No such device ne.c: No NE*000 card found at i/o = 0x300 Anyone?
OK, the io address in that ne options line is wrong, then. At least, the card doesn't answer to 0x300. You can either try to find out what it should be (Did it work in the old OS? Did you note its settings down?), or play around a bit until it works. 0x280, 290, 2a0, 2b0, ... ... 0x330.
