Have we got a firm date for the Christmas meal yet ?
I remember there being some discussion about the 7th or the 14th of Jan and I think we have established Buckinghamshire Arms as the venue (or was that just a suggestion that has stuck in my mind)
My head is still clearing after the Seasonal Event of Overconsumption and I want to get my social calendar in shape before the Predicted Post New Year's Eve Blackout (currently scheduled to last until at least Jan the 5th)

14th January in the Buckinghampshire Arms in Blicking *probably* I think consensus has now been reached on venue and time/date, all that I need to do is go and visit them/phone them and ask if tables are available.
If people want to come then please drop me an email in the next few days so I can have a rough idea of numbers as I will attempt to book a table on Monday 4th January (ish).
Thanks Adam

Sounds good to me, if we could now just remove the probably word, that'd be fab ;) Of course, you could also add in a URL for these mad people that might want to come so that they can (a) find the place and (b) check it out first ;)
Of course, the other thing that now needs organizing (not one of alugs strong points at the moment ;) is how the hell we all get there, but that's not such a big problem :)
Cheers,

OK Grumpy ;) I have now booked a table for 10 (so far 6 people have confirmed) this number is flexible but they want to know how many people the day beforehand. So the table is booked for Friday January 14th @ 8pm so we get some time in the bar beforehand to meet up.

Getting there isn't a problem for me, not so sure about getting back but at worse I can walk ;)

That's reassuring - I thought it was. And getting home again an even bigger one.
Rar!

Ok, without being able to promise concretly at the moment, I will be traveling from Great Yarmouth -> Norwich from about five, and then from Norwich onwards a little closer to the time. I will be making the return journey to Norwich at the end of the evening (And depending on your powers of persuasion, other destinations depending on distance). There are multiple seats in the car availible.

Yers, that is much appreciated and, sofa so good - that bit is do-able, but, I go home in largely the opposite direction and the last bus goes long before we'll be finished. (FVVO finished.)
I have a sort-of feeling that I'll have to give this year's beano a miss. Next year I might have got round to fixing the jalopy, or better, even have the chairlot on the road.
