You're just being modest! ;-)
Speaking of that, AFFS would like to have a stand at LinuxExpo in London next month. In order to do that, I suspect we'll need help, so watch out for an appeal on the fsfe-uk list (linked from http://www.affs.org.uk/ ) very soon. Who from ALUG is going to be there? Care for an ALUG meet?
I think the appeal has arrived already, I see Wookey volunteering (he has a lot to do with the iPaq running a linux based speech program I brought to the last meeting) for a slot. I would like to go - I haven't been to a linux expo before. If I do I'll wave leaflets for half an hour. Registering is here: http://www.linuxexpouk.co.uk/ Adam said on IRC last night that there was an informal pub meeting next Sunday in Norwich. Without computers (gasp) and he said he'd only do a talk on apt after five pints. Or do you mean an alug meet at the expo?
Jenny.

I have registered but I will be there (hopefully) in a professional capacity which means I may not be able to stay for too long, I dunno I will speak with boss.unit nearer the time. Anyhow I was planning to maybe attend on the first day as I only ever seem to get there on the second day of these expo things and always miss out on good free booty ;) (but i bet because of all the belt tightening people have been doing there will be no gifts at all!)

Yeah there is, well most likely anyhow if anybody is willing to turn up :) mainly because i will be back in norfolk this weekend and i want to catch up with people. Would people agree that the Fat Cat is a good place? at least 2 people mentioned it for the reason of it having good beer..
http://www.greatbeer.co.uk/norfaca.htm and also http://www.fatcatpub.co.uk/ (appears to be down though) and here for directions http://makeashorterlink.com/?K5F462EB1 (multimap)
Anyhow about 2pm on Sunday until whenever? the only problem i can think of with the location is it is a pain to get to/from the train station if you don't know Norwich.
Anyhow the bit about talking about apt is a very cunning plan as I am not allowed to drink at the moment for medical reasons so I don't have to talk about it :) Anyhow I /may/ be bringing a palmtop running linux if i get a chance to install it before the weekend...

I think I'm going to only be able to attend in the afternoons. Whether one or both, I still don't know. I guess I should register.

The buses that stop outside the station, across the crossroads by the river heading for Costessey or Bowthorpe both go along Dereham Road, to the south of the Fat Cat. The 24 used to go along Heigham Street to the north of the Fat Cat, but I think it's been moved or cancelled. It's been quite a while, so please someone confirm this before Sunday ;-)
If it looks likely that there will be a meeting, please send an email to announce@lists.alug.org.uk and update the wiki.

I was meaning at the expo. I think I'll see people on Sunday, but I won't swear to it yet.
