Off-topic, I know, but does anybody know of a decent web site with a guide to Sun Solaris 5.7? There are certain elements that I just can't seem to find under Solaris which are readily available under Linux and want to know if they have Solaris equivelents..
Thanks,
Martyn

See, for example, http://www.wwa.com/~alina/Links/docs.html. Just do an AltaVista search on "Solaris man". You will get lots of good sites.
No, Linux is much more advanced that SOlaris. Most of the LInux utilities are available, but you will have to get them yourself e.g. from http://smc.vnet.net/. In particular, you will find that /proc is almost useless on Solaris.
