I am currently wrestling with Red Hat 7.1, (seawolf). Do the issue/version numbers in the full package follow the same numbering system as the kernel numbering, is 7.1 a development version of 7?
If so would I be better off getting hold of issue seven, as some applications seem to crash, (this is most likely due to my blundering than any inherent fault).
Having got the KDE Email and web browser up and running I am now trying to get Balsa to work, the incoming mail is fine but with the same settings as in KDE it does not seem to work, obviously there is something I've missed. Can anyone advise me please?

Version 7.0 was buggy as heck, and I stuck with 6.2 until 7.1 came out. Where I work, we extensively use 7.1 on our workstations. We're all running Ximian Gnome or KDE without any hassles. No problems with the GCC compiler either (mind you, we're all Perl/PHP programmers and don't need to go near GCC for normal day-to-day use).
All of our servers are still using 6.2, but that's only because they're running fine and don't need to be upgraded (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).

What happens when you attempt to collect mail - is there any error messages?
