This months second Thursday social meeting of ALUG will take place on 12th November 2009 at The Coach and Horses (82 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1BA http://www.thecoachthorperoad.co.uk/ ).
This is our second meeting in the Coach and Horses and it offers food, a good selection of real beer (including takeouts!) and reasonably good connections for travel and parking.
There should be people there from 8pm, hopefully someone will bring Tux to aid people in recognising us. I look forward to seeing you

I came, I failed to see a Tux, I departed. Like Julius Ceasor on a bad day! :-( Where were you sitting, and did you have a Tux?

Was anyone there then?
Yes, about 6 of us.
There was no Tux there. But there was a notepad with LINUX written on it. We were round the back in the corner.
Did you see us but thought we weren't ALUG? What time did you arrive?

Hi! 8:10, Orange Space hopper T-shirt. I couldn't bring myself to go up to a table with strangers (to me) on it and say "Are you the linux group?" Needless to say, I didn't see the Linux notepad. Next time I get a free 2nd Thursday I'll try again. :-) Steve

It's not unusual to see people walk in looking a bit lost who scan the room and then approach us and ask "are you the linux users" if I do see anyone who looks lost+geeky I usually wave at them. I don't think that there has been any Alug meet yet where nobody has turned up, if you want to check on the day drop into the Alug irc channel and ask in there.
