Hi all,
I saw a small bit on the news today about a community wireless network being setup in Norwich and going live from today. A bit of googling and digging around shows that the homepage for the project is here: http://www.norfolkopenlink.com/index.htm
Looks like they're going to fund it only until April 2008, so in which case I sense that it's been a big waste of money already as the total cost for the project is 1.1 million... my personl idea would have been they could have wifi enabled all the libraries in Norfolk for less than that and still had some money over to offer a few hotspots over other places in the county and provide funding for them for much longer than less than 2 years.
Thanks Adam

They could have done a lot better than that using LocustWorld (http://www.locustworld.com)
Cheers, Laurie.
