Would anybody be interested in getting a guest speaker from SuSE into our next meeting? I'm determining the costs and other arrangements involved and will let everyone know how things go.
Regards,
Martyn

I've been told that there isn't any costs involved with getting a guest speaker, but they do expect a reasonable turnout. I'm finding out what they would consider a "reasonable turnout" to be, and if we all think we can do it for the next meeting, I'll arrange for someone from SuSE to pop along.

Martyn

If we can get at least 20 people for the next meeting, we'll be able to arrange for a guest speaker to turn up.
Regards,
Martyn

The next meeting is provisionally planned for Sunday May 21st, at UEA. Is that OK? I'm going to have another go at booking the room tomorrow -- now it's less than a month to go, it should be OK. Are more details of the talk available (eg length, facilities required)?

Fine by me... will update the website as and when (and will include all the tarty stuff we talked about, too).
Andrew.

Although I personally will not be there (I'm off on a trip across the USA for three weeks), I will contact SuSE and see if this is okay. I'll also find out what is actually involved and will let everyone know what's going to be available.

Martyn

Would it be better to organise it for the ALUG after next, which should be Sunday 18 June at Syleham(sp!), if we're doing the alternating third Sundays thing discussed at the last meeting. I don't know (as I was ill last time we visited there) how big that venue is and how easy or otherwise it is to find.
