Is it possible to find the name of the owner of a .com domain?
I tried whois on internic but that only shows the registraar.
The domain I'm interested in is 01508broadband.com which is apparently a campaign for our local exchange (which is great) but has no named contact (which is puzzling).
BTW here is a site with a *lot* of info for anyone following the broadband saga - for example here is the page for our exchange:
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/detail.php?exch=4553
Graphs, stats, links... and lots of good info on the opening page.

Ah, you must have an old whois which doesn't follow the referrals. Internic should have provided you with details of the registrar you need to ask (in this case OpenSRS), so you can do:
whois -h whois.opensrs.net 01508broadband.com
which gives more details.
