And we introduce women dressing up very nicely with tons of food in the centre while discussing life in general ;) You can *talk* - the only women likely to be there will be most likely to be in full bike gear (including the baggy waterproofs) eating rapidly through the mountain of food.

What topic? Will Adam be able to come? He was going to do a talk on debian apt. Would anyone talk on security? I've always been hazy on this subject. Does anyone want me to see if I can bring an iPaq embedded with a modified version of debian, used to run a speech program? Was it Andrew that got the job doing graphics on none other than HP2 etc etc who was going to do a talk on how it works? Did I miss that?

I may be able to come, but Lynn is that bit further again, but I think its one of my nieces birthdays that weekend so I may be around then... Yeah i was going to talk about apt and dpkg, but then I am scared of all the Debian people who will heckle... Yeah bring an Ipaq that would be kewl. Ummm, Martyn works for moving picture co. and I work for Framestore-CFC both of us do things with linux and 3d rendering (and 2d compositing etc.) Framestore-CFC did effects for HP1 but I can't talk about work in progress and there is company confidentiality that goes with that. Ummmm, who Andrew is i don't know... but if there is another of us working in computer production in linux we could almost have an Alug@soho division... That would possibly be me ... no cool digital video shenanigans from me, just cool internet applications ;-) Andrew. -- All views are my own .... who else would want them?

I could say a few words, but I think Laurie, Adam or Jonathan may have more direct practical experience.

Yes, I'd quite like to see that.
