Debian 'Testing' Kernel 2.6.22.6 Alsa 1.3.3

I have a USB record turntable that works without problems under OSS but won't work with Alsa (which I'm now using).

Can I set up OSS and Alsa so that I can switch between them and, if so, how would I do it?
